Sen. Barr. Ovie Omo-Agege, former Deputy President of the Senate, has declared his readiness to work with the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, as part of efforts to reposition the state ahead of the 2027 political season.
Speaking on his philosophy of public governance, Omo Agege said his guiding principle remains service to the people, stressing that leadership must be anchored on commitment, humility and collective responsibility for development.
“I will work with everyone, by God’s grace, to lift up Delta State,” he said, noting that unity among leaders and stakeholders was critical to achieving meaningful progress across the state..
The former Deputy Senate President also reaffirmed his unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, describing his backing for the President as firm and enduring in the interest of national growth and stability.
Turning to state politics, Omo Agege assured Governor Oborevwori of his willingness to collaborate in strengthening governance and deepening the ruling party’s influence across Delta State..
“With my commitment to a legacy of qualitative governance, I am ready to work with His Excellency to strengthen our party and deliver on its promises to our people,” he said.
He added that the ultimate goal of the partnership was to make Delta State a better place for all, insisting that sustained cooperation and people-centred policies would remain the cornerstone of his political engagement.
