UGHELLI – The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State, Dr. Peter Mrakpor (SAN), has urged the people of Ughelli South Local Government Area to vote massively for the party’s House of Assembly candidate in the forthcoming general elections.
Mrakpor made the call while addressing party faithful, community leaders and supporters during a political engagement in the area, stressing the need for continued support for the PDP to sustain the developmental strides recorded across the state.
He said electing the PDP candidate into the Delta State House of Assembly would guarantee effective representation and facilitate the delivery of more democratic dividends to the people of Ughelli South.
According to him, the House of Assembly plays a critical role in lawmaking and oversight functions that impact governance and development, adding that the electorate should support candidates with the capacity and commitment to serve their interests.
The PDP governorship flag bearer appealed to eligible voters to remain united and mobilise support for the party ahead of the elections, expressing confidence that the PDP would secure victory at the polls.
Mrakpor also reaffirmed the party’s commitment to improving infrastructure, enhancing educational opportunities, empowering youths and women, and promoting economic growth across Delta State.
He urged party members and supporters to conduct themselves peacefully throughout the electioneering period, noting that peaceful participation in the democratic process remains essential to credible and successful elections.
The PDP candidate maintained that the party remains focused on consolidating on past achievements while pursuing policies that would improve the welfare and living standards of Deltans.
